As far as cosmic time is concerned, i had very recently turned into a theist. But my conviction was tested and i realized i had a long way to go. Here is the story…

During a recent conversation with a friend of mine he asserted, “Show me GOD and i will believe that HE exists”. I told him if ever you had not seen your father, would you not believe that he ever existed. You would believe your mother as to who your father was. He gave a silent hearing to that. I added, “Have you ever been to the land of Australia?’. He replied in the negative. I said, “I guess, you still believe that Australia exists, don’t you?. He murmured something which i took as an YES. I added, “You know that Australia exists because you might have read authentic books about Australia or has heard from people who have visited Australia or might have seen it in the ATLAS, or you might have some Australian friends”. He just kept quiet.

Then i diverted the conversation a little and asked him, “Why do you use a microscope?. He is a Biotechnologist by profession. He said, “To see organisms which cannot be seen by naked eye”. And then i quipped, ” Hmmmm, So to see something off this world which cannot be seen by this eye, we take the help of a machine, right? So how much would it be right to say that to see GOD, we need to follow a process”. He was still not convinced. He seemed irreversible to me. I inhaled a deep breath and exhaled my exasperation.

I looked at the sky and told him do you think that everything came out of nothing without any superior administration. He sternly said, “YES”. I tried to explain to him that how can a blast (referring to the THE BIG BANG) cause an universe to be made. He smiled in such a way to say “NOT COMPELLING ARGUMENT, MY FRIEND”. Sensing that smile i added, “Fine, if we agree that there was a big explosion, who caused that explosion. There has to be someone who did it. There has to be someone who makes a bomb and then to explode it there has to be someone or it can be exploded by some other process which is again created by someone. Just like when there is law, there is a law-maker. When there is a medicine, there is a pharmaceutical company. When there is food in front of us, it came from somewhere. We used the resources of nature to get our food. Who made those resources???”. I couldn’t see a marked difference in his countenance. I was losing myself too. And then i thought of taking shelter of the SWAMI who is an excellent answerer.

Later that evening, i called him to my house and wanted to show him a video of RADHANATH SWAMI. I asked him whether he would be interested to see this short video. He replied in the affirmative. And then he saw the video which is below. Herein the swami explains whether GOD exists or not. Radhanath Swami very nicely explains with conviction and with some very nice examples as to how GOD exists.

You guys wanna know what my friend said after seeing the video.
He said, ” I think that makes some sense”. And my jaws dropped but i was happy.
